The Hanwha Eagles in professional baseball have changed their coaching staff positions.

Hanwha said on the 5th, "We changed our coaching staff position as a measure to improve the performance in the second half of the year," adding, "We hired former NC Dinos coach Yang Seung-kwan as our head coach and former women's baseball national team coach Yang Sang-moon as our pitching coach."

It is the first coaching staff reorganization in more than a month since head coach Kim Kyung-moon took office on the 2nd of last month.

Yang Seung-kwan, the new head coach, began his leadership career in 1991. In particular, Yang served as the hitting coach and head coach at NC Dinos from 2013 to 2018, where he worked with Kim Kyung-moon.

Yang served as manager of the Lotte Giants and LG Twins. He also served as general manager of LG. Since then, Yang has had diverse experiences as a baseball commentator and manager of the women's national baseball team. 스포츠토토

With the new coaches joining, former head coach Chung Kyung-bae moved to the batting general manager and former pitching coach Park Seung-min moved to the pitching coordinator.

Hanwha, the only team that replaced its head coach during this season, finished the first half of the season by ranking ninth (36 wins, two draws and 44 losses). As the team is 3.5 games shorter than the fifth-ranked SSG Landers (41 wins, one draw and 42 losses), it is worth seeking to counterattack in the second half.

Hanwha has maintained a 50% winning rate with 12 wins, 1 draw and 12 losses since head coach Kim took office.
